Lefkada

Lefkada packs two very different kite zones onto one Ionian island: the vast shallow lagoon and sandy spit at Agios Ioannis / Milos beach near Lefkada town in the north, and the famous thermal amphitheatre of Vasiliki bay in the south. Reliable afternoon sea breezes, warm water from May to October, and an island you can drive across in an hour — connected to the mainland by a causeway, no ferry needed.

Wind & conditions

Afternoon thermals dominate: Vasiliki's famous 'Eric' builds from midday to 15–25 knots cross-offshore, while Agios Ioannis gets a steadier north-westerly sea breeze of 12–20 knots. Best June to September. Water ranges from flat lagoon to light chop; mornings are usually glassy and good for lessons.
