Ngor Island provides sheltered, intermediate-level kitesurfing in a protected bay environment off Dakar. The enclosed waters reduce swell exposure while still allowing occasional wave development on good days. The rocky and sandy launch zone requires a bit more care than pure sand beaches but is manageable with experience. Wind tends to be moderate and reasonably consistent during the season. This spot suits riders moving beyond pure flat-water practice who want some structure without heavy exposure.
