Misty Cliffs is a serious wave spot on the Cape Peninsula, positioned between Scarborough and Kommetjie with dramatic cliff-backed coastline. The summer south-easter wind channels powerfully along this exposed shore, creating quality waves for experienced riders only. Conditions are choppy and demanding; this is not a learning ground. Access requires local knowledge and respect for the hazards. The reward is uncrowded wave riding against striking scenery, though conditions demand excellent technique and fitness.
