Langebaan Lagoon, protected within West Coast National Park north of Cape Town, is a dream flat-water playground. Turquoise, shallow waters and summer southerly winds create textbook conditions for beginners and freestyle riders. The expansive lagoon offers plenty of space to learn without hazards, and the scenic sandy shores provide comfortable rigging areas. Summer (December–February) is peak season when thermal southerlies blow most reliably. Access involves a day trip from Cape Town or overnight stays in nearby towns.
